Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival

As most of you now know, Lil Wayne is conducting a concert for the ’09 year. “Young Money Presents: America’s MosWanted Music Festival” is by far the most anticipated concert of the summer. The show will consist of performances by: Soulja Boy; Grammy award nominated Young Jeezy; Former Actor & newly signed [Young Money-) Drake; and the highlight of the show Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling atrist Lil Wayne.

The tour will kick off on July 27, 2009 at the Toyota Pavillion in
Scranton, Pennsylvania and end on August 23, 2009 at the Superpages.com
Center in Dallas, Texas.

Jay Gatsby

The title character, actually the main charcter of the novel. He is fabulously wealthy and lives in a Gothic mansion in West Egg. He has lavis parties every Saturday night, but no one really knows him. Nobody knows where he came from, what he does, ar how he became so rich. Nick soon learns that he was borm James Gatz on a farm in North Dakota; he worked for a millionaire, so he decided to dedicate himself to become rich. He fell in love with Daisy in Louisville while training to be an officer. Nick see’s him as a deeply flawed, vulgar, dishonest man; due to his criminal activity.

He is from Minnesota who went to Yale, fought in WWI, and went to NYC to learn the bond businiess. He is honest, tolerent, and reserves judgement.. He serves as a confidant who has troubling secrets. He quiclky befriends his next-door nieghbor, Jay Gatsby. As Daisy’s cousin, he tries to help rekindling the love between dhe and Gatsby. The Great Gatsby was told and seen through his eyes; his perceptiions give life through the story.

Daisy Buchanan

She is married to Tom Buchanan. She is Nick Carraway’s cousin and the woman Gatsby fell in love with. She lived in Louisville before the war, she was courted by a number of officers. She also fell in love with Gatsby and promised to wait for him. She felt the need to be loved and married Tom after all. She now lives with Tom in fashionable district of East Egg of Long Island. She hides of her pain of her husband’s infidelity behinds superficial acts.

He went to Yale University and is immensely wealthy. He is a vary arrogant hypocritical bully. He s very racist, sexist, and jealous. He is married to Daisy and has no moral values.

Huge Disappointment

It was my birthday, but it wasn’t so happy. I was 14 and I really wanted and needed a new phone. My sister had just got a job at Sprint. That meant great phones at discount prices, with low monthly bills. Little did I know, it wasn’t happening for me.

A few days before my birthday, I went to the sprint website. I was checking out the cool, new phones. I saw one I really liked and ran to get her to see it. “Okay, Why are you showing me this? I already have a phone,” she said. I told her it was for me, she nodded and walked away.

She began to get ready for work. On her way out the door, I yelled to her the name of the phone. She nodded again as she got into the car and drove off. A huge smile spread across my face. I really got my hopes up.

When she returned from work, I tried not to bother her. I just couldn’t help it, I had to know if my phone had been ordered. She tols me not to worry her and shut the door. I assumed it was a ”yes”. I couldn’t wait for my birthday.

It’s my birthday and I woke up excited. The day went , I opened my presents and cut my cake. I asked my sister when my phone was coming in, with a smile on my face. My face broke into a million pieces, “It’s not” replayed in my head over and over again. Can you say huge disappoinment?

Brachman Hall

June 6, 2009, Saturday. My bags aren’t packed, my clothes aren’t dry, and my hair isn’t done. It’s a disaster, I waited months to go to summer camp at TCU for Upward Bound. And here I am, so ill prepared.

Sundany finally arrives and I’m still stuck in this same predicament. We check in at 5, I so wasn’t ready. I started to panic. I hoped my day would get better.

Finally, things were starting to look up. I have my bags packed and my hair was almost finished. As the time got closer to 5, I could feel butterflies in my stomach. I started to load my bags into the truck. It was time to go.

We started our trip, it felt as if it took forever to get there. Before we got our room key, they had us fill out an emergency form. I got my key and hurried to my room, excited to see who else’s name was on the door. My roommate is Keena. The dorms are pretty cool.

I learned that I can live without my phone. Shocking, isn’t it? Everyone I need to talk to is in arms reach, except for my mommy. I miss her. Overall, camp isn’t quite that bad.

Gangs

Gangs are bad. They all over the nation. The most common gangs are the “crips” and the “bloods”. Most gang members do drugs. They sometimes lead to death.

Technology has expanded over the years. We now have smaller phones that take pictures and record videos. We have smaller laptops with loads of memory. They invented talking pens. We have alot of new technology.
